この間、ロシアに行ってきましたのでそのレビューをしたいと思います。
ロシアのネット環境は世界でも最低レベルと言っていいでしょう。
ロシアの番号がないとネットに繋がらない
空港でネットには繋がらない
空港で既にロシアの電話番号がないとネットに繋がりません。
日本や韓国などの先進国だと、空港を始めとした公共スペースでネットに自由に接続できることが、もはや当たり前になってきています。
しかしロシアですと、ロシアの番号を持っていなければ、ネットに繋げることはほぼ全ての場所で不可能と思った方がいいでしょう。
カフェでも繋げることができない
WIFIのマークがあり、安心してカフェに入りネットに接続しようとすると、また電話番号を聞かれるではありませんか。
店員さんに聞いてネットに繋げてもらうようにお願いし、実際にスマホを貸して操作してもらいました。
そうしたら、少し怪訝そうな顔をしています。
大丈夫かな？と実際に自分が操作すると、一応グーグルの検索結果は出てきます。
しかし検索結果が表示されたページをクリックしても、個々のページにアクセスすることができませんでした。
どうやら個々の外国のサイトには閲覧制限がかかっているようです。
安宿でも繋がる
どんな安宿でも基本的にはパスポートの提示が求められます。
宿はロシアの番号は不要となり、特に追加料金も不要で普通にネットにつなぐ事ができます。
私の予想となってしまうのですが、おそらく何かサイバー攻撃のようなことを仕掛けても、身分が特定できるようにしたいのではないかと思われます。
なので身分証が求められないカフェでは繋がらず、求められる宿ではネットに繋がるのではないかと考えられます。
ラインが繋がらない
VPN(Virtual Private Network:内部ネットワーク)を用意する必要があります。
スマホだけだと無料アプリが使用できますが、パソコンからであれば下記のようなVPNを張る必要があります。
公共の図書館から検索エンジンに繋げることができない
ウラジオストクで私はロシアの電話番号を持っていなかったばっかりに、ネットができる環境が見つからずネット難民になってしまいました。
そんな時、図書館らしいところで、FREEWIFIという表示を見つけます。
外国人の自分も使えるのかなと思い、受付の人に確認したら、どうやら使えるとのこと。
わーい、やったーと思って、グーグル検索すると、なんと繋がらないではありませんか。
ヤフーにアクセスしても繋がりません。
代わりに、ロシアの検索エンジンが登場してくるのでした。（なぜかリダイレクトされる）
別にロシアの検索エンジンを使ってもいいのだけれども、当たり前ですが日本語の情報は皆無でしたので、本当に最悪でした。
しかしアマゾンなどの検索エンジン以外のサイトには普通に繋がります。
どうやら検索エンジンサイトのみにアクセス制限をかけているようです。
（日本語サイトは、見逃してくれよ〜〜）
ロシアwifiまとめ
ロシアナンバーがないとネットに繋げられないことから、サイバー攻撃を恐れているのではないかと強く感じました。
私は以前ロシアから隣の国のエストニアにいったのですが、エストニアは公共の場でネットが繋がることが当たり前でした。
レンタルルータは必須
月並みにとなって申し訳ないのだが、ロシアに来る際はレンタルルータを借りることをおすすめする。
空港やカフェで繋がならないと、さすがに情報力に欠けることになるだろう。
